So, for those of you who do not already know, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 metastisized breast cancer (has spread to other organs) and pneumonia. We have been in the hospital since the 18th of March.
We are going to fight this. Regardless of the poor prognosis given by the hospital doctors. We are optimistic. We have a doctor who also does alternative medicine, and he has recommended a combination of alternative medicine and low dose chemo.
The reason for the combination of alternative/natural medicine is because she is too weak for chemo alone, chemo kills every cell in your body, and hers cannot take that toll right now, as we have been told the cancer has spread to her lungs, liver and bones. Her immune system is already weakened and it's hard for her to breathe with the pneumonia.
Any support, encouragement, resources or advice that you have would be greatly appreciated. As the alternative medicine is not covered by insurance, and is very expensive. I can by no means afford this on my own, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to keep my mom alive and well. God is not finished with her yet, she still has so much to do on this earth.
We are praying against the doctors prognosis, and believing God for a miracle! We serve a mighty God, and need only but faith the size of a mustard seed. To God be the glory thru this all! Let us be a blessing to those along the way and let our faith be strengthened thru this experience.
